Obituary for Margaret Vera Christ (Brophey)

Christ, Margaret V.

(Nee Brophey) Age 79, died June 18, 2017. Preceded in death by her husband Cletus. Loving mother of Colleen (David) Hovde and grandmother of Rebecca Christ, Robert (Becca) La Rock and Danielle Roman. Further survived by son Gerald (Pam) Christ her three favorite cousins (and friends) John (Ginger) Bong, Susie (Jim) Bartlett, and Lynn Louise Bernier (Lelan) McLemore. Fur baby Mama to Lovey, her beloved teddy bear dog and Henry, her cat. Best Friend of Bea Ksobiech.

An avid Democrat, she was happy to avoid the rest of the Trump administration. Margaret loved to read and loved her pets, her garden, the birds and even the dumb squirrels. She especially loved puzzles which could be found covering her kitchen table except the pieces the cat liked to steal. Family, friends and things we love are all pieces of our lives. Margaret recently completed assembling these pieces to reveal a beautiful picture called life.

At her request, no services will be held. Memorials may be directed to the ASPCA or a charity of your choice.

To Those I love

When I am gone, just release me, let me go – so I can move into my afterglow.
You mustn’t tie me down with your tears; let’s be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love, you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it’s time I traveled on alone.

So grieve for me awhile, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted with trust.
It’s only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart.
And then, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile and a “Welcome Home”.
